Amazon 2014

When we arrived in Manous we had to wait for about five hours for all the others. I passed the time by throwing a bouncy ball at the wall. When everybody arrived we went to Presidente Figueiredo.
At that first city we visited something called cachoeira which is like a natural pool. There was one with a diving dock which everyone doing flips off it. There is a video of me trying to do a flip but failing. There was another which was pretty fast moving so we were able to slide for about 10 - 20 meters. The other one was kind of deep into the forest so we had to hike there, and we also passed through a cave made of sand. The cave had some big ass spiders and bats to. At the pool there was a waterfall were you could shower but it was falling very heavly. The hotel had a pool table just like all hotels, but it was missing a ball and you had to pay 50 cents to play.
After Presidente Figueiredo we went to Manaus. In Manaus  we stayed in a 5 star hotel,  but it didn't have all the formal people there because it is the Amazon. This hotel had pool tables that were about $5000 each and it was free to play. In Manaus we went to a couple zoos and saw a jaguar. We saw a show about the mythical story of the bull, and there was some very pretty dancers there. The zoos had a lot of animals we didn't see in the forest because there were people screaming everytime they saw a spider. Our hotel also had a zoo and a nice pool.
We then spent 4 nights on a boat, and it was the best part of the trip. We slept in hammocks which was awesome because I sleep better in a hammock than in a bed. On the first day we walked on a bridge thing and saw a couple monkeys and birds. Underneith the bridge the water was pretty deep but in dry season our guides said that is just  dirt there. We visited a indian village and participated in a ritual with them. We did a hike in the forest one day which was fun. There was two guys had stayed 3 days in the forest and they said they were going to stay another 3 days. On this hike we walked with water up to our chest and and some sort of insect. The insect was delicious. We also tried to climb a tree, but everybody in our group failed. The guys who staying in the forest did it easily. We also swam with wild dolphins which was awesome. We went fishing for piranha, but my boat only  cought 4. Later that night we went looking for  gators and found two little guys to take pictures with. We visited two other communities and played soccer with one of them. On the last night we had a party/bbq (the two are about the same thing), and then went home.
I would like to say thank you to all of our guides and Terra Brasil.
